Perfomer and author, Gloria Dorliguzzo, approaches dance from the martial arts that she practises in the art of the Japanese sword. Her research combines plasticity and compositional rhythm with a particular attention and orientation towards the visual arts.
Her way of approaching body research is strongly influenced by her encounters with Yoshito Ohono, Malu Airaldo, Adriana Boriello and Claudia Castellucci. In her experience as a performer she collaborates with international choreographers and directors such as: Nikos Lagousakos, Cindy Van Acker, Giselle Vienne. Since 2018 she has been working as a performer and choreographer with Romeo Castellucci.
In 2019 she makes her debut as an author with Folk Tales at the Santarcangelo dei Teatri Festival. She wins the Barcelona Film Fest and the Holland Cinedans as best experimental film, with the work Skin/Out.
In August 2023 she debuts at the Reiefest festival with the work Myein and at Festival Eutopia with the performance/installation entitled Nynphenproject, Expeause.
