Thirty years ago in Rwanda, more than 800,000 people were barbarically murdered, often with machetes. On the occasion of this anniversary, Oriente Occidente dedicates a day of art and culture to a country that through talented young artists is building a new imaginary future, without forgetting its history and legacy. Dorothée Munyaneza’s performance and the Festival’s relationship with the Rwandan-born artist, already present in the 2023 programme, was the inspiration for this day of dance, music, reflection and cinema.
