“I love you, I… I… I love you like I’ve never loved anyone before you… I have this feeling right now and it may be false but it’s so strong that it can only be true, do you understand? I want to live with you, I want to marry you, grow old and wear dentures with you… in short, two dentures, each one with his own dentures, no because I know that this too is, is… false, I… I know that if we thought about it calmly for ten minutes, I would realize that it is false… but now… now I can’t think about it calmly for ten minutes,… I can’t think about it and that’s it. I love you all here…”

A very subtle, ironic and poetic duet on love relationships: the duet develops in a sort of alphabet of love, taking up some typical situations of love relationships. Surreal and engaging. A show in pictures like the chapters of “Fragments of a Lover’s Discourse” by R. Barthes, a book that was the inspiration, the stimulus. A wardrobe that during the show will become various places of love, two armchairs, a lamp, other small objects, an old radio: this is the scenography designed by Mauro Zocchetta. Objects that enter and exit the lives of the two protagonists, creating new and unpredictable situations from time to time. 2, rue des Pommes develops around a basic idea: love and life as a couple are a continuous turmoil. A cross-section of life as a couple accompanied by the beautiful original music by Diego Dall’Osto and some famous French tunes from the 1950s. - Luciano Padovani
