Una città per ballare

Fondazione Nazionale della Danza & Aterballetto, Una città per ballare | ph Sarah Melchiori

90 dancers, 30 musicians, and 8 choreographers united in a grand dance marathon through the streets and squares of Rovereto. "A City to Dance" is a project realized in collaboration with the National Dance Foundation/Aterballetto, which will connect the historical sites of the city with an extraordinary variety of dance styles and unique performance moments. The Rovereto Wind Orchestra will guide the audience through a route consisting of four stages in four symbolic squares of the city, outlining an impressive journey into the possibilities of choreographic language and urban architecture. The conclusion in Piazza del Mart will feature a collective choreographic moment celebrating the universality of movement, where the protagonists will be the spectators themselves.

PIAZZA DEL MART - 7 PM
DANCING ROOM

Led by Arturo Cannistrà (Training and promotion of dance languages - National Dance Foundation/Aterballetto) and choreographer Valerio Longo
A grand public closing moment of the Oriente Occidente Festival 2018. The entire city will be involved in a collective choreography where everyday gestures meet music. With the help of a video tutorial, participants will learn the movements, becoming protagonists of a theatrical language in motion that embraces the space. Piazza del Mart will become a "place of dance," hosting an open workshop for everyone, inviting those without any technical skills to engage with the language of the body.
