Silences We Are Familiar With contemplates life, death, love and everything in between.
Inspired by their personal reflections on love and life, this 2012 creation by Kuik Swee Boon in collaboration with the dancers of T.H.E focuses on the incessant human need to love and be loved and weaves dance, sound and poetry into a poignant statement on the complexity of human emotions.
The yearning, the passion, the helplessness, the anguish, the melancholy ... (Silences) approached something close to the sublime.
